Shield delivers protection against sun damage and harm from ozone
depletion with a natural good-for-your-skin formula containing, among
other ingredients, an active level of Cranberry Oil which is high in

a 100% natural preservative derived from 8 eight natural essential oils,

| FACT: Ultraviolet radiation (especially UVB) affects DNA
at the cellular epidermal level, and is responsible for photoaging,
a phenomenon also known as premature aging or dermatoheliosis. The
effects of photoaging include wrinkling, coarsening, scaling,
laxity, dryness, mottled hyperpigmentation, ease of bruising and the
development of fine visible lines under the skin. At one time, it
was thought that all of these skin changes were just natural changes
associated with the aging process. Researchers have confirmed that
that view is fallacious. These changes are not natural, and occur
largely due to long-term exposure to the sun's rays. Compare your
face as other exposed body parts, well to your buttocks. They seldom
are exposed to the sun, show only the effects of intrinsic aging,
while the face and arms suffer from the extrinsic aging caused by
solar damage. People who wish to prevent photo-aging--or at least
prevent further damage--should be counseled to use a sunscreen with
a high SPF, and to apply it liberally to all exposed parts of the
body before going outside. Sunscreen should be reapplied as needed.
